Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Students:

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year. Woodlake Valley Middle School staff, students and parents will continue to work together to support the goal of our mission statement: to establish a community of learners who share a sense of belonging in a friendly, safe and supportive environment. All students will participate in a diverse, motivating and rigorous curriculum while striving to develop core character values that will serve to guide them throughout their future.

I am confident as we begin this school year that our students will continue to demonstrate Bengal PRIDE, which stands for Prepared, Respect, Integrity, Determined, and Excellence. We continue to have students exemplify PRIDE in the classroom, in the arenas of competition and within our community.

Parents are a vital part of student success; we invite you to come and see what your student(s) are doing: in the classroom, on the athletic fields, in a science lab, during band and choir concerts, as well as other opportunities throughout the school year. You are encouraged to engage in your child’s educational journey at WVMS. Please download the Aeries app and get connected through Google Classroom to stay updated on your students grades and with announcements.

We will continue to use our school website as a great resource for information and celebrations. Our Website and Social Media platforms are designed to increase student learning and continue to enhance communication. We have a determination to pursue success, and continue to honor the rites, rituals and traditions that allow everyone associated with WVMS more reasons to proudly state, “I am a BENGAL!” I invite you to join us as we work to ensure that WVMS is truly an exceptional school. GO BENGALS!

Sincerely,

Megan Marquez
